The Temple Arts

One of DharmaSTARS’ main missions is to bring back the true meaning of the Temple Arts, where Priest(esse)s are multi-facetted servants of their communities and the Divine, each with their own specific skills and gifts to bring through.

The term Temple Arts has been gaining more and more popularity in recent years and tends to evoke visions of ‘sexy priestesses’, and other limited interpretations for many.

How do we find Temple Arts in this contemporary society?

In a time where spirituality is becoming very commodified, one of DharmaSTARS’ main missions is to bring back the true essence of the Temple Arts, where Priest(esse)s are multi-facetted servers and space-holders in their communities and the Divine, each with their own specific skills and gifts to bring through.

How can we create a new contemporary Priest(ess)hood that honours lineage and transmission knowledge but in a way that is actually relevant to the times we’re in?

This course brings a different vantage point from which to look at the meaning of Temple Arts. Building upon the concept of the temple and the body as a fractal, a microcosm of a multidimensional body.

The Temple Arts is a living practice and, in many ways, this course is a journey that draws upon fundamental teachings of sacred lineages through to more esoteric and multidimensional aspects of Ancient Tantra and the Celestial bodies. Grounding us on the path to come into true spirituality.

These teachings draw upon Padma Khandro’s lifetime of frontline work and teaching from all walks of life, such as with indigenous tribes, marginalised groups, ancient knowledge systems and being a practitioner of Kalachakra Tantra – the Tantra of World Peace.

new modules

This course may be helpful for you if you are:

  • Practitioner in energy medicines like Reiki, Sekhem and so forth;
  • If you identify as a priest or priestess of something and are interested in metaphysics and the Temple Arts;
  • A multidimensional person who wishes to utilise your skills as your professional but have not got much/any therapeutic or practitioner training;

  • If you are a practitioner who is realising that you haven’t got much of an ethical or multidimensional framework especially in terms of in-person sessions and talking therapies;
  • If you wish to gain some fundamental insights regarding chakra wisdom, communication across the realms and sacred sexuality
  • If you want to open your awareness to Ancient Tantra rather than Neo-tantra to have more substantial grounding in your life and practices
  •  If you have realised have you have blindspots in your understanding as to how multidimensionality works and how to really represent it authentically
  • If you realise there are limitations in your professional life as a spiritual person because there is nobody holding you accountable and you realise you do not have the essential teachings that are necessary to safely hold space;
  • If you have been clinging to your comfort zone and security blanket because you don’t know how to challenge yourself to truly grow and transform;
  • If you want to work through blindspots and traumas that keep you in a constant state of bypassing true responsibility and integrity.

SACRED LINEAGES & THE CALL FOR AUTHENTIC PRIESTESSHOOD AND SPACE-HOLDING

During this resurgence of people calling themselves High Priestesses and holding tenuous links to unproven lineages, how can we cultivate a spirituality and adherence to pure and Universal principles of the Temple Arts? Exploring some Ancient traditions we will look at correlations in their value systems and discuss how we may work with authority, humility and impeccability.

We are guided into understanding in a deeper way different lineages we may be associating with the temple arts and the importance of authentic lineages. Why is this an important theme when we talk about space holding and becoming a “Priest(ess)”?

Why is lineage and devotion important in helping to tame the ego and step more fully onto one’s Higher Path?

In this section we will look at:

  • Sekhem Lineage
  • Magdalene, Yeshua, John the Baptist, Essene and Rose Lineages
  • Kalachakra – Highest Yoga Tantra and the Golden Age/Shambhala Warrior paradigm
  • Indigenous Science and Natural Law and Time
  • Shadow principles in Mystery School lineages
  • The quest for Truth, Authenticity, Authority, Skilful Means and Mindfulness

DECOLONISATION

Unfortunately people from privileged countries rarely strive to understand the deeper elements of the legacy of colonisation and how it is still perpetuated. If we wish to fully embrace the Healing Arts and to eliminate suffering, we need to understand inequality and unconscious colonial programming. In order to release from samsara and to step into a higher spirituality, and to enter true Dharma, decolonisation is vital. What does that mean and how do we go about it? How can we create a revolution by paying privilege forward?

In this section we will look at:

  • The ‘drama triangle’
  • The drama triangle in the Healing Arts
  • Archetypes that may perpetuate colonial underpinnings
  • Unconscious colonial programming and tools and tips to overcome it
  • Understanding privilege
  • The connection between the ego and the colonial
  • Paying privilege forward – the new Priestesshood
  • Karma, Dharma and Decolonisation

We aim to help practitioners to step into true Authenticity and not a spiritual practice that perpetuates inequality and colonial values, and to truly move forward as a Global Sangha into a deeper Oneness in the coming times! If we wish to achieve equanimity on a spiritual level it is imperative that we practise it on a daily basis in our interactions with our brothers and sisters.

PRACTITIONER ETHICS

Many energy medicine trainings do not include adequate training in practitioner ethics. As more and more people are drawn to Temple and Healing Arts it is increasingly important to have good ethics and to work with sacred professionalism. Many people think that if they have done Reiki initiations it will be enough to begin a career as a healing practitioner, when in fact it’s normally just the very beginning of such a journey.

When people are offering energy medicine they may encounter clients in vulnerable situations.

Important themes are:

  • Working with loved ones
  • Sexuality and healing
  • Power dynamics in the workplace
  • Control vs Surrender
  • Referrals and diagnoses
  • General practitioner ethics
  • Privacy and Confidentiality
  • Disclosure and Safeguarding
  • Holding and Containment
  • Compassion vs Over-Identification
  • Empathy vs Sympathy
  • Transference and Countertransference and some tools to encourage self-reflection and self-enquiry.
  • Drama Triangle: Rescuer/ Missionary and other archetypes at play

SUBTLE BODIES & THE CHAKRAS

Whilst Sekhem does not wholly focus on chakra systems, modalities like Reiki honour the Indian chakra systems. Understanding the energy centres and subtle bodies is vital to being an adept energy medicine and temple arts practitioner. It aims to help you bridge the worlds and to have a healthy curiosity about this fascinating subject that goes across many systems and modalities.

In this section we will look at:

  • Understanding the importance of chakras/energy centres and different systems
  • Working with subtle bodies and energies
  • Mapping imbalances in clients
  • Chakras and death
  • Karma and the lower chakras
  • The importance of working with the lower triangle to strive for impeccability as a practitioner

PARTS, IFS & TRAUMA-INFORMED COMMUNICATION AND SELF-REFLECTION

If we want to come into a higher timeline, communication, community and interpersonal interactions are really important. And given the massive task at hand of helping to be part of the change, we do need to become robust in thinking about how we will interact with communities.

As practitioners it’s imperative that we are able to work with our own wounds and not to have them dominating our interactions. Moreover it’s important to hold space for, and understand the afflictions of others in order to compassionately help them move through these. Furthermore, in retreat settings, a lot of time is often wasted through interpersonal triggering events and languishing in stories. How can we as practitioners striving for impeccability step into self-responsibility and also to be able to communicate and hold space effectively?

In this section we will look at:

  • Moving beyond triggered woundedness
  • Basic introduction to IFS and parts work
  • Parts Mapping
  • Learning how to work with our own and other people’s parts
  • IFS/NVC – differences, similarities and limitations
  • Duality and parts work – the limitations of IFS
  • Moving beyond duality
  • The importance of self-responsibility as a practitioner
  • The Key of Acknowledgement
  • Pristine speech

ANCIENT TANTRA, SACRED SEXUALITY AND THE TEMPLE ARTS

For many, ‘Temple Arts’ has connotations of sexy priestesses in orgiastic lavishness. Given that we do not have a direct ‘line in’ to those Ancient times and we have indeed evolved, how can we apply wisdom from this course and from fully preserved Ancient Tantric traditions to cultivate sacred sexuality and to utilise our energetic bodies for the greatest good? Looking at the issues around relationships and sexuality that surround our contemporary societies, and how can we come into more meaningful relationships? Can we set a new paradigm to eliminate toxic femininity and masculinity?

Understanding Tantra and working to a different way of relating may be a vital key to bring in the Golden Age.

In this section we will look at:

  • Fact and myth surrounding the Temple Arts including the fall of Ancient Egypt
  • Duality and non-duality
  • Sacred sexuality and Ancient Tantra
  • Serpent wisdom and esoteric practice
  • Golden Age relating and Dharma Dating

HOLISTIC ASTROLOGY AND ITS IMPORTANCE FOR BUDDING SEKHEM & TEMPLE ARTS STUDENTS

The celestial bodies and the study of them is one of the oldest of the sciences and played a central role in numerous mystery school traditions such as Kemetic wisdom-keeping. It can be seen as a key to ascension and liberation and a road map to having a graceful life and finding the truth within. By working with Natural Law and Time we can work through our karma more seamlessly to become emancipated for our Dharma role and to space-hold for others.

In this section we will look at:

  • The role of astrology in the Temple Arts
  • Brief introduction to different systems
  • Scientific/esoteric templates to help accuracy with client work
  • The significance of Non-Dual Astrology
  • Basic overview of planets
  • Brief overview of Karma to Dharma in various astrological systems
  • The return of Quetzalcoatl- the Venusian paradigm renewed

VENUS AND SATURN CODES – New Priestess of 2025 to 2027

A deep dive into the energies of Venus and Saturn with special insights from Kalachakra Astrology, including the God Varuna – the keeper of Natural Law.

A gateway has opened in this eclipse season which is going to create pivotal opportunities to move beyond pseudo-spirituality and onto authentic and enriching Dharma paths.

In this transmission, Padma Khandro shares about the forthcoming portals in the timelines that will deeply assist us to step forward as the New Priestesshood 2025 – 2027. Knowing and understanding the medicine of these Celestial Bodies will help us make the most out of these energies.

Format of the Course

This course contains 10 sections, setting a foundation to different aspects of the Temple Arts

Each module is between 2 and 3 hours long. Often there will be a main presentation by Padma Khandro, which will be around 90 min long. There are also subsidiary teachings such as recordings, tutorials and powerpoint presentations by the DharmaSTARS team.

Please note that the main lecture in each section has been specially commissioned for this course, the extra resources are from various other courses or client resource materials.

For students wishing to add this to their Masters module in Sekhem, there is a compulsory assessment to ensure students have processed the material.

Real time tutorials

Real-time interactive dakini weaving sessions and tutorials, hosted by Padma Khandro

For the real-time sessions, we require a minimum of 6 people to sign up for those. These will only be scheduled in then, so the dates are currently beyond our control. However, we forecast it may be: from December/January until March.

If not enough people sign up within 6 months we’ll offer you a correspondent reduction of the live-tutorials price on a session, reading or course of your choice.

*Over the next 9 months we’re training up new team members, please bear with us while we restructure our system and organisation.
We are grateful for your understanding.

Temple Arts as a prerequisite for Sekhem students

Whilst you do not need to have taken or completed the Temple Arts course to qualify to receive attunement, you will not receive certification for Advanced Sekhem until you have satisfactorily completed the Temple Arts module.  If you have done similar  training in another institution this may count instead of the Temple Arts module but please be aware that most neo-tantric or ‘Magdalene’ type work will not guarantee that you have gained the sufficient training to substitute for this.  You will be required to provide the syllabus from courses you may nominate to replace this module and the Sekhem Master Teachers will provide feed back as to if this qualifies.

The satisfactory completion of the Temple Arts course counts as one module towards Sekhem Master Teacher so it helps you to progress on your professional and ethical journey and reduces the amount of work that will need to be undertaken to complete the final qualification!

Temple Arts is the next course for Sekhem students who may wish to study deeper with D-STARS, in order to advance to the Sekhem Advanced. You can do TA at the same time as Sekhem Advanced initiation.

You will only receive your certificate once you’ve successfully finalised TA and all case studies have been handed in and approved.

The teaching experience gained over the years has shown that most students need to take time to integrate the teachings. For this reason, we are opening registrations early so you have several months to get acquainted with these fundamental teachings and be ready to go deeper once the real-time constellation begins.
