DharmaSTARS is committed to bringing High Teachings to our students, and we’re happy to present you:

THE TEMPLE ARTS

The term Temple Arts has been gaining more and more popularity in recent years and tends to evoke visions of ‘sexy priestesses’, and other limited interpretations for many. One of DharmaSTARS’ main missions is to bring back the true meaning of the Temple Arts, where Priest(esse)s are multi-facetted servants of their communities and the Divine, each with their own specific skills and gifts to bring through.

INCLUDES TEACHINGS ON:

· Parts, IFS and trauma-informed communication and self-reflection
· Subtle bodies and the chakras
· Practitioner ethics and basic principles of Dharma and Natural Law
· Decolonisation
· Holistic Astrology and its importance for budding Sekhem students
· Sacred Lineages and the call for authentic priestesshood and space-holding
· Ancient tantra, sacred sexuality and the Temple Arts

FORMAT OF THE COURSE

Each recorded session is between 2 and 3 hours long. Often there will be a main presentation which will be around 90 min long and then subsidiary teachings.

FOR ONLINE STUDENTS
There will also be 2 real time online seminars if more than 6 students sign up for this module. There will also be an assessment to ensure students have processed the material that is compulsory for students wishing to add this to their Masters modules.

FOR STUDENTS ATTENDING THE GLEN LYON RETREAT IN JUNE 2023
You are expected to ensure you have at least watched the Main presentation for each topic before attending the Glen Lyon Mystery School. For those attending the Mystery School there will be an interactive satsang on these topics woven into other themes being delivered at the residential retreat. These will be in the oral tradition. Weather dependent they will be recorded and added to our archives. These in person real time transmissions will take part on extremely potent astrological days and will include channelled insights and opportunities for Q and A and reflection on the themes.

THE TEMPLE ARTS MODULE

Parts, IFS and trauma-informed communication and self-reflection

As practitioners it’s imperative that we are able to work with our own wounds and not to have them dominating our interactions. Moreover it’s important to hold space for, and understand the afflictions of others in order to compassionately help them move through these. Furthermore, in retreat settings a lot of time is often wasted through interpersonal triggering events and languishing in story. How can we as practitioners striving for impeccability step into self-responsibility and also to be able to communicate and hold space effectively?

· Moving beyond triggered woundedness
· Basic introduction to IFS and parts work
· Parts Mapping
· Learning how to work with our own and other people’s parts
· IFS/NVC – differences, similarities and limitations
· Duality and parts work – the limitations of IFS
· Moving beyond duality
· The importance of self-responsibility as a practitioner
· The Key of Acknowledgement
· Pristine speech

Subtle bodies and the chakras

Whilst Sekhem does not wholly focus on chakra systems, modalities like Reiki honour the Indian chakra systems. Understanding the energy centres and subtle bodies is vital to being an adept energy medicine and temple arts practitioner.

We will cover:
· Understanding the importance of chakras/energy centres and different systems
· Working with subtle bodies and energies
· Mapping imbalances in clients
· Chakras and death
· Karma and the lower chakras
· The importance of working with the lower triangle to strive for impeccability as a practitioner

Practitioner ethics

Many energy medicine trainings do not include adequate training in practitioner ethics. As more and more people are drawn to Temple and Healing Arts it is increasingly important to have good ethics and to work with sacred professionalism. Many people think that if they have done Reiki initiations it will be enough to begin a career as a healing practitioner, when in fact it’s normally just the very beginning of such a journey.
When people are offering energy medicine they may encounter clients in vulnerable situations.

Important themes are:
· Working with loved ones
· Sexuality and healing
· Power dynamics in the workplacema
Control vs Surrender
· Referrals and diagnoses
· General practitioner ethics
Privacy and Confidentiality
Disclosure and Safeguarding
Holding and Containment
Compassion vs Over-Identification.
Empathy vs Sympathy
Transference and Countertransference and some tools to encourage self-reflection and self-enquiry.
Rescuer/ Missionary and other archetypes at play

Decolonisation

Unfortunately people from privileged countries rarely strive to understand the deeper elements of the legacy of colonisation and how it is still perpetuated. If we wish to fully embrace the Healing Arts and to eliminate suffering we need to understand inequality and unconscious colonial programming. In order to release from samsara and to step into a higher spirituality, and to enter true Dharma, decolonisation is vital. What does that mean and how do we go about it?

· The ‘drama triangle’
· The drama triangle in the Healing Arts
· Archetypes that may perpetuate colonial underpinnings
· Unconscious colonial programming and tools and tips to overcome it
· Understanding privilege
· The connection between the ego and the colonial
· Paying privilege forward – the new Priestesshood
· Karma, Dharma and Decolonisation

Holistic Astrology and its importance for budding Sekhem students

The celestial bodies and the study of them is one of the oldest of the sciences and played a central role in numerous mystery school traditions such as Kemetic wisdom-keeping. By working with Natural Law and Time we can work through our karma more seamlessly to become emancipated for our Dharma role and to space-hold for others. In this section we will look at:

· The role of astrology in the Temple Arts
· Brief introduction to different systems
· Scientific/esoteric templates to help accuracy with client work
· The significance of Non-Dual Astrology
· Basic overview of planets
· Brief overview of Karma to Dharma in various astrological systems
· The return of Quetzalcoatl- the Venusian paradigm renewed

Sacred Lineages and the call for authentic priestesshood and space-holding

During this resurgence of people calling themselves High Priestesses and holding tenuous links to unproven lineages, how can we cultivate a spirituality and adherence to pure and Universal principles of the Temple Arts? Exploring some Ancient traditions we will look at correlations in their value systems and discuss how we may work with authority, humility and impeccability

· Sekhem Lineage
· Magdalene, Yeshua, John the Baptist, Essene and Rose Lineages
· Kalachakra – Highest Yoga Tantra and the Golden Age/Shambhala Warrior paradigm
· Indigenous Science and Natural Law and Time
· Shadow principles in Mystery School lineages
· The quest for Truth, authenticity, Authority, skilful means and Mindfulness

Ancient tantra, sacred sexuality and the Temple Arts

For many, ‘Temple Arts’ has connotations of sexy priestesses in orgiastic lavishness. Given that we do not have a direct ‘line in’ to those Ancient times and we have indeed evolved, how can we apply wisdom from this course and from fully preserved Ancient Tantric traditions to cultivate sacred sexuality and to utilise our energetic bodies for the greatest good? Can we set a new paradigm to eliminate toxic femininity and masculinity?

We will discuss:
· Fact and myth surrounding the Temple Arts including the fall of Ancient Egypt
· Duality and non-duality
· Sacred sexuality and Ancient Tantra
· Serpent wisdom and esoteric practice
· Golden Age relating and Dharma Dating

MAAIKE DE HAAN

Maaike de Haan is an art therapist, ceremonial tattooist and intuitive artist with a background in higher education and energy medicine. Inquisitive and intuitive from an early age, Maaike first started recognising patterns, symbols, messages and teachings that would come to her in her dreams during her primary school years. She would come to count on them as one of the main guiding forces in her life from then on.

Her interest in universal and healing symbolism, language beyond the spoken/ written word, the collective subconscious and our unconscious communicating with us in very personal ways, found a professional outlet in her becoming an art therapist 15 years ago. She has been deepening her understanding of and fascination with these and related themes like children’s drawing and play analysis, dream analysis, archetypes, creative expression, synchronicity and spirituality ever since, applying them in (psycho)therapeutic and holistic contexts.

In her own life, Maaike uses divination on a daily basis, through an eclectic mix of dream analysis, intuitive drawing, (animal) symbolism and runes, occasionally complemented by tarot and oracle card readings.

MADALENA BANHA

Madalena has been on a deep energy medicine journey since 2018 and has been initiated into Reiki and Sekhem lineages, being a Sekhem L2 practitioner.
She’s also done training in Permaculture, Plant Alchemy, Energetic Hygiene, Divination, Ethics, Multidimensional Spaceholing and is a trauma-informed practitioner.

Her connection with plants has deepened over the years, working closely with them since 2019 and has been initiated into sacred master plant teachers, including Tobacco.

Madalena has been receiving High Spiritual Teachings from many lineages – and beginning her studies of Kalachakra Tantra – Tantra of World Peace.

She’s been working in pioneer and visionary projects, and intergenerationally for over 5 years, being a co-founder of Dharma STARS. Madalena is a bridge between the youth and the elders.
